1989 Dossier 1.In 1989, two foldable leaflets were available in toy stores to be picked up by kids. These "Dossiers" depicted the new figures and vehicles available this year.
Spanish Dossiers took the pictures from Belgian Dossiers which showed the toys inside awesome dioramas. This first Dossier had pictures of four figures, Big Boa, Raptor, Lt. Falcon and Hit´n Run; and four vehicles, Dreadnok Cycle, Polar Battle Bear, Pogo and Devilfish. All eight pictures could be cutted and collected by kids and had a brief description of the character or vehicle in their back. To finish a General Hawk illustration invited the kids to collect the line a get lots of G.I. Joe related products and participate in a contest in which 100 Persuaders, not available in Spain, could be won. Also, there was a checklist with the full 1989 line-up. The G.I. Joe merchandising showed in the leaflet was a sticker with 1987 Doug Hart´s catalog artwork (one per Flagg point sent), a G.I. Joe cap (2 points and 250 pesetas), a G.I. Joe folder (1 point and 200 pesetas) and a G.I. Joe T-shirt (3 points and 300 pesetas). |
